So Thankful

I just cannot believe that it is fall already. It's that time of the year when the air conditioner can safely go off and the windows go down. So, I decided to do a fall themed card! The background stamp is from Hero Arts and was stamped in ColorBox White Pigment Ink. The sentiment 'So Thankful' is from Autumn Leaves, stamped in Pretty in Pink by SU. Finally the Kraft CS is from PTI and the ribbon is from American Crafts.

See, its so easy I could explain it in one paragraph!

Hope you're having a wonderful monday!

Also, make sure you check out the BLOG CANDY a couple of posts down. Once you subscribe make sure you post in the comments section!

Friends are the family you choose yourself!

Every release I challenge myself to make a No Layer Card. It's sort of like a supply cleansing, just me, stamps, ink and a piece of white cardstock. While I am the first person to love busy cards (did you see my Rock Star card?), I think getting down to the bare bones of this hobby is just as special. So, I bring you this card. It's simple. It's chic. It's Taken with Teal, Rose Red and Elegant Eggplant. It's Little Paper Shop.

This set is aptly named 'Friends' and is a total classic. I especially love the sentiment, which totally speaks to this college girl who is 6 hours away from her family.

Happy Stamping!

PS.
Tomorrow is the big release for LPS so make sure to check it out! Also Monday starts my Hanna Stamps previews which are (if I do say so myself) GORGEOUS!!!

{5} You're Invited

I am going to be adding a new category today called 'No Layers, No Problems'. I believe that not every card has to be a 3 hour, multi-layer, production. Now, don't get me wrong, I like ornate cards as much as the next girl, but sometimes I need some quick and easy cards and I just don't have the time to put into it. That's where cards like this come in. Simple but classic. I think this 'You're Invited' card is so flexible. Invite someone over to dinner, for a cup of coffee or just to have a movie night. I made this particular card en masse, because I like to send 'just because' notes inviting some one over for the aforementioned and I think this card evokes the causal nature of the invite.

This card also showcases the new 3x4 set by Little Paper Shop called 'You're Invited'. I stamped the main sentiment in Ruby Red, the dotted line in Brilliant Blue (you are going to be seeing A LOT of this dotted line this week and in the future, I think I'm in love, but more of that later), the flowers are in Tempting Turquoise and lastly the doodad is in Pumpkin Pie. Sometimes, simple is just better.

Also, how GORGEOUS are those flowers behind the card. My grandma sent me them yesterday!! Thanks Sue, they're wonderful.

I hope you are enjoying the new releases, I am LOVING them. They may be my all time favorite. Again, make sure to check out all the other fantastic design teamers.
