Twinkling H20s Dragonfly Video Tutorial

Last week I ordered two 12 packs of Twinkling H20s, which just came yesterday. I played with them for a while and quickly realized that although their learning curve is not quite as high as copics but that they do take a little play time. This video tutorial goes over the basics as to what twinkling H20s are, shows some pieces I have colored and then goes into detail about how to paint the Dragonfly(by Magenta), that is shown above. Also, please click on the picture to see the shimmer, it doesn't show well unless its enlarged.

I am really looking for feedback as to whether or not you found the video helpful as well as your personal experiences with Twinkling H20s. I know they were really popular a couple of years ago. Do you want more videos or do you enjoy the copic ones more? It is not necessarily one or the other, but I was just wondering. I am going to put a poll up on the blog (right toolbar), so please vote!

I've been using Twinkling H2os for years... one thing I would recommend trying is to put a few drops of water into your H2O pot a few minutes before you want to start... you'll get a better result with the colours this way.

Thanks for the little tutorial. It is always fun to see how others do things. As Nancy said, I also put a few drops of water in the pot -- right from my Niji brush -- and let them sit for a couple of minutes. You will be surprised at the difference in the result. I have been wanting to pull my H20's out again, but haven't as of yet. Maybe later today.

Great dragonfly.
As said before, if you add a few drops of water a while before you start you'll get a much stronger colour esp if you then use a fairly dry brush rather than a water one. Depends on the look you want but this makes them far more versatile than they first seem. The pale colours used like this on dark card are divine! Have you tried painting to rubber and stamping with them yet? There's tutorials on luminartes site.
As you can probably tell, I do love my H2Os !!! :D
